Fresh From the Farm

Camp Burgess and Hayward Mon 18, 2013

Following a rash of mouse robberies in the greenhouse, we decided that the best organic pest control would be a farm cat! By reaching out to the MSPCA, we found a cat up for adoption who doesn’t do well when she’s cooped up inside, so she couldn’t be placed as a regular indoor cat. But she’s young, energetic, and has great camouflage, so she should be a very effective mouser for us at the farm. We picked her up in Boston on Friday, and she spent the weekend relaxing in the greenhouse and getting accustomed to her new home. Soon, we’ll be able to let her have free run of the place, and in exchange she’ll help us out with our rodent problems in the greenhouse and shed as well as in the garden.

Also, she came to us without a name… Click here to go to our Facebook page, where you can comment on her picture with your suggestions for a name!
