Rhode Island Surf & Stuff

Learn to surf at beautiful Narragansett Beach in Rhode Island! This trip includes daily professional surf lessons. Lessons are progressive, with each day building upon the previous one. Throughout the week, campers will have the opportunity to try different types of surf boards and boogie boards, and build surfing skills through a variety activities. The group will spend about half of each day at the beach, and half of the day doing other exciting activities. When we’re not surfing, we’ll explore the highlights of the area! Groups often go to nearby towns, swim and relax at the beach, go kayaking, and go out for ice cream. Campers will also participate in a guided tour of the world famous Newport Mansions! As they walk through these massive estates, campers will be instantly transported to the Gilded Age. Finally, evenings are spent cooking delicious meals and sitting around a campfire.

For this trip, groups will spend their first and last nights at our Base Camp in Sandwich. They will prepare for their trip on Sunday, and head out Monday morning for the first surf lessons and their time in Rhode Island! The rest of the week, they will stay at a campsite in Rhode Island. They will be sleeping in tents, and bathrooms and showers will be available. The group will return to our Base Camp Thursday afternoon to celebrate and reflect on their experience through our closing campfire. Drop-off and pick-up will take place at our Base Camp site in Sandwich.
