The Leader-in-Training Program (LIT) is designed to give you a taste of what it’s like to be a Trip Leader! During your time as a LIT, you will take part in leadership training to prepare you for leadership roles, both at Adventure Trips and for future endeavors. You’ll have the opportunity to put your skills into practice by planning activities for Adventure Trips participants and co-leading large group activities, mini-adventure weekends, and even trips with an Adventure Trips Leader. You will also help with the many tasks that happen behind-the-scenes to make Adventure Trips happen, including assisting with check-in and check-out, photography, maintenance projects around Base Camp, and meal preparation. The most important job for the LIT, as for all Trip Leaders, is to ensure that all Adventure Trips participants have a safe and fun experience on their trip.
The LIT Program is open to previous Adventure Trips participants ages 17-18, and is available by application only. To request an application, please contact Rebecca Salter at firstname.lastname@example.org or call (508)428-2571.
