Born & Bred

With Halloween tomorrow, all I am thinking about is a great Halloween costume. Summer camp has produced some hilarious and memorable costumes; it is amazing what you can do with cardboard and paint!

There is nothing like a theme dance or co-ed day to bring out everyone’s creativity. I love dressing up, but I love seeing other’s amazing costumes even more. Some of my favorites include a bobsled team during an Olympics dance, the dinosaur leaders this past summer, and my CIT summer when we were all villains in the game of Clue. Imagine if school dances had the same costume creativity! (Note: My junior high dances consisted of some very 90’s smiley face shirts, glitter, and Spice Girls shoes that would probably be considered a costume today)

My favorite costume of my own, which I have worn many a time, is Ursula (from the Little Mermaid). Paint your whole body purple and wear a few trash bags: simple and effective. I also love really easy themes like ninjas, pirates, Crayola, or western. Everyone can easily participate!

Good luck to everyone searching for a last minute costume. Just grab some cardboard, tape, paint, and create!
