Summer has officially arrived at the farm: the campers are here! Session 1a campers participating in the Farm Interest Group got the chance to visit with the animals and help out with feeding and watering, they had a competition at the observation hive to see who could find the queen bee the fastest, and they had a little snack of just-picked rhubarb, peas, borage, and calendula.

Later on this week, they’ll plant seeds, water the garden (and each other, if this hot weather keeps up), make hand salve with beeswax, and enjoy a farm feast, among many other activities, all led by their four fearless counselors.
