Fall Fest & 5k Trail Trek Bring the Camp Community Together

What a day to remember at Camp Burgess & Hayward!

This year’s Fall Fest, Alumni Reunion Weekend, and 5K Trail Trek brought together campers, families, alumni, former staff, and friends for a celebration of camp traditions, outdoor adventure, and lifelong connections. From the scenic trails of the 5K Trek to ziplining, archery, camp tours, and gathering around shared camp memories, the day captured everything that makes Camp Burgess & Hayward such a special place.

For many alumni, the weekend was a chance to return to the campgrounds that helped shape their lives, reconnect with old friends, and see firsthand how camp continues to impact new generations. Families explored camp together, runners and walkers enjoyed the beautiful fall course through Camps Burgess and Hayward, and everyone shared in the spirit of community that has defined camp for nearly a century.

“Fall Fest highlighted what makes Camp Burgess & Hayward so special: our community. Many generations of the camp community were represented, and everyone enjoyed a beautiful fall day at camp, together.”

As Camp Burgess looks ahead to its 100th Anniversary in 2028, events like Fall Fest remind us that camp is more than a place. It’s a community that spans generations. Thank you to everyone who joined us, volunteered, participated, and helped make the weekend such a success.
