Hi Gurus,
Thank you for accepting the job offer! I hope you are as excited to be here as we are to have you.
Welcome to the paperwork side of your hiring on-boarding. Getting this paperwork done in advance is very important.
- HIGH PRIORITY: Please download and complete CORI and SORI forms, which allow us to run a background check on you. Fill out and sign the two forms and send them back to me with a photocopy of either your driver’s license or passport ASAP. You cannot continue with on-boarding until these checks come back clean.
- Please complete the “About You” Document found here and email to me.
- Fill out your Staff Health Form here (MEG- you can link the form there!) and upload to your CampBrain profile once complete. In addition upload a copy of a physical from within the past 18 months. If you do not have a physical from within that time period, you will have to get one. To clarify any confusion regarding health coverage, know that you will be covered for work-related issues for the duration of your employment with us through our worker’s comp insurance. I recommend securing your own personal health insurance per the following: “The Massachusetts Health Care Reform Law requires most Massachusetts residents age 18 and over who can afford health insurance to have health coverage for the entire year or pay a penalty through their tax returns.” http://www.mass.gov/dor/individuals/taxpayer-help-and-resources/health-care-reform-information/general-information-for-individuals.html.
- I would like to introduce you to KRONOS, the YMCA online hiring portal. In order to complete mandatory SSYMCA online training and paperwork, you will need to establish an account. Here is the link to do so: https://secure.entertimeonline.com/ta/6124813.jobs?ApplyToJob=100731407
- Set up a new account
- Fill out the General Employment Application (this is a retroactive step – you ONLY need to fill out any question marked by a red*)
- Apply for the job of Outdoor Education Guru Spring Season
- Once these steps are complete, our HR Department will be in touch via email with information about additional training and paperwork that must be completed prior to arrival at Camp.
- You will need to obtain a copy of your driving record in order to drive any camp vehicles, which will occasionally be part of your job. Google the following: “(Your State) Driving Record Request.” The correct website will be “.gov”. You just need the cheapest record available to you, the unofficial one is fine. Please email me your Driving Record once you obtain it. Please note that this service does cost a small fee – usually under $5, and will not be reimbursed.
- Especially important items to bring with you on your first day of work (March 17, 2017):
- Valid I9 photo ids. See this form to check what is considered a valid photo id. You will complete the I9 form when our HR Department instructs you to do so via KRONOS, but you will also need a physical copy of some combination of approved ids on your person on your first day of work
- A voided check in order to receive your wages via Direct Deposit
- Your Lifeguard Certification card
- You can find a suggested packing list here. I will be in touch with updates via email, if you have any questions for me in the meantime please don’t hesitate to reach out!
Again, thank you so much for accepting the offer, and good luck with the paperwork! Please let me know if you need anything from me along the way.
