Nantucket Biking is a 6-day adventure trip with a great mix of easy to moderate cycling, scenic destinations and exciting activities. We’ll spend our first night at Base Camp preparing for our adventure. Then, we’ll leave Base Camp behind for the quiet back roads and bike paths of this beautiful Island. It’s not all biking though, as we’ll have time to swim in the ocean and relax on the beach, kayak around Nantucket Harbor, and shop and sightsee in old whaling towns. We’ll reside at the Hostelling International Youth Hostel while on Nantucket, where we’ll cook and interact with guests from around the world. We’ll return to Base Camp on our final night of camp to celebrate a successful adventure!
Participants will enjoy the trip much more if they are prepared- the group will bike anywhere from 15-25 miles per day, so it is important to practice cycling and to be in good shape prior to the trip.
